Higher Study Roadmap

Roadmap

  • Maintain an Excel file.
  • List all the universities in your desired country.
  • List your desired department in those listed universities.
  • List all of your desired programs/courses/subjects in those listed universities.
  • List all the professor/faculty names and email of those departments.
  • Do research about their Research Field and their publications (if any).
  • Compare your major with those professor’s major/research field and make a list.
  • Draft the initial email and start sending an initial email to the professor.
  • Keep your things handy during emailing-
    •    1. LOR- Letter of recommendation.
    •    2. SOP- Statement of Purpose.
    •    3. IELTS/TOEFL Score.
    •    4. GRE/GMAT Score.
    •    5. Transcript, Certificate & WES evaluation.
    •    6. Research paper/publication (if any).
  • Keep continuing email conversation until getting the green signal about funding/scholarship/RA /TA ship.
  • Email the international admission office/course coordinator for application material, guidelines or checklist.
  • Start applying for admission with the required material and documents.
  • Keep your documents handy during application-
    •    1. Signed and sealed envelope of 2/3 LOR from DU professor (hard copy).
    •    2. Keep informed those 2/3 professors/colleague for Email recommendation (EOR).
    •    3. DU transcript evaluation from WES for US/Canada equivalent (takes 2 months).
    •    4. SOP- Statement of Purpose.
    •    5. IELTS/TOEFL Score.
    •    6. GRE/GMAT Score.
    •    7. Research paper/publication (if any).
    •    8. Take a Dual Currency Credit Card from Eastern Bank Ltd. And endorse Dollar in passport.
  • Wait for the admission result.
  • Take AAA or EMK center membership.
  • Join Bangladeshi student group located in USA & CANADA.

IELTS/TOEFL, GRE/GMAT Coaching and Exam center-

IELTS/TOEFL, GRE/GMAT, and WES center will directly send test scores and evaluation copies to your university


Timeline

  •    Fall Session – August (75% Admission)
  •    Spring Session – January (25% Admission)
  •    Summer Session – May (No Admission)


Timeline for Fall 2024

  •    1. Credit Card ready by March/April 2023
  •    2. Join FB groups & American Center or EMK Center by April 2023
  •    3. IELTS/TOEFL, GRE/GMAT by June 2023
  •    4. Email professor from June 2023
  •    5. WES by September 2023
  •    6. Get Professor Approval by November 2023
  •    7. Application start from Dec 2023- February 2024
  •    8. Finish admission process by March 2024
  •    9. Embassy appointment between April-June 2024 (ASAP)
  •    10. Find abroad accommodation by July 2024

  •    1. IELTS/TOEFL, GRE/GMAT coaching Fee – BDT 25,000/-
  •    2. IELTS Fee- BDT 25,000/- or USD $255
  •    3. TOEFL Fee – BDT 20,500/- or USD $205
  •    4. GRE Fee – USD $220
  •    5. GMAT Fee – USD $275
  •    6. WES Fee – USD $217
  •    7. US Embassy Fee – BDT 17,500 or USD $160
  •    8. US Embassy SEVIS Fee – BDT 35,500 or USD $350
  •    9. Canadian Embassy Fee – BDT 15,000 or USD $140 or CAD $150
  •    10. American or EMK Center membership fee – BDT 500-1000/-
  •    11. University application Avg fee range– USD $40 - $ 75 per application
  •    12. IELTS/TOEFL, GRE/GMAT, and WES center will charge a fee for sending score to university
